Acclaimed fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth collaborated with OPIUM in creating her debut short film “TREESOME.”

This post-modern fairytale puts an inverse spin on the Greek myth of Daphne, as a young wood nymph whose heart pines for no man turns a group of lascivious revelers into olive trees. The black-and-white cinematography is stark, but the subject matter, whimsical, playing out with the manic revelation of a dream.

OPIUM’s masterful color grading and title sequence animation enhances the contrast between rustic landscaping and lush fashion scenes with élan.
The film wowed audiences at The Toronto Film Festival, drawing the nomination for Best Short Film.

Funny. Fabulous. Startling. OPIUM.
